THE LAKES
Woodside bucks the trend and is so much more than just another commercial fishery offering holes in the ground massively over stocked with carp and F1s. Each of the pools on site has been carefully thought about and expertly constructed to offer not only a great days sport for the angler, but also a healthy, interesting and sustainable environment in which fish stocks can live and breed.
Established trees and shrubs line the banks and reed beds, lily pads and rushes dress the margins. One of the core design considerations when work first started at Woodside was making each lake look as natural as possible and to compliment its surroundings rather than stand out like a sore thumb. There is a rich ambundance of wildlife surrounding the pools including water birds, voles, foxes, deer, birds of prey and farmer's live stock in neighbouring fields.
WOODSIDE POOL - 20 PEGS
Woodside pool is the longest standing pool on site. Catering predominantly for the match / club angler, carp and F1s are the main stay accounting for some truly impressive match weights with the current record over 200lbs.
The pool is also well stocked with roach, rudd, skimmer bream and big perch, which have been caught to over 4lbs. There are also tench and crucian carp if you're lucky enough to find them.

ISLAND POOL - 17 PEGS
Island pool offers the angler more of a challenge with it's undulating bottom and depths in excess of 9 feet. There is also a large head of natural food including blood worm & freshwater mussels meaning fish are less dependent on angler's baits.
The pool is stocked with carp, F1s, skimmer bream, roach, rudd, odd chub and tench and very big perch to over 5lbs!

Please note Woodside Fishery reserve the right to change prices without prior notice and refuse admission. Prices are for two rods as per a standard NRA rod license. Half day charges apply from 3pm onwards. Opening times are dependent on the time of year and staffing.

CHARLIE'S POOL - 10 PEGS
Charlie's pool is geared more towards the casual or holiday angler who is looking to unwind and catch some fish in the process.
The pool is heavily stocked with carp, including some beautiful koi specimens, grass carp, roach, rudd, skimmer bream and, like the other waters on site, some massive perch, which have been caught to nearly 5lbs.
We defy anyone NOT to catch on Charlie's! A bite a chuck is GUARANTEED! Note, Charlie's pool is always available to pleasure anglers.
HOUSE POOL - CLOSED
House pool is the newest water at Woodside. The pool was initially dug as an additional match pool, but a change in direction resulted in the water being made deeper and stocked heavily with roach, rudd and skimmer bream.
House pool is the venue's dedicated silverfish pool and is popular amongst anglers wanting a change from catching carp. Come the winter months, the House pool comes into its own. Note, House pool may be booked for matches in the winter. A water for the purists out there.
Please note, House pool is closed until further notice due to on-going maintenance work.
