Conrad Davies AC, Island Pool

Eleven (11) anglers from lined the banks of the Island pool for the club's latest silverfish league tussle.

Conditions on the day were a significant improvement after Saturday's strong winds. However, as with the club's practice match the carp were, once again, active and did their best to make it hard for dedicated silverfish club. Many were enjoying great sport courtesy of the resident roach and skimmers, but once the carp got their heads down, the second half of the match proved difficult.

Winner on the day was Sensas man Wayne Sharpe, who drew peg 5. Fishing maggot on the deck, Wayne enjoyed a great first couple of hours before his bites dried up to weigh in 18-10-00.

Kieran Walden (Boy Band) finished in second place from peg 10. Offering maggot to depth on the long pole, Kieran found roach, skimmers and perch to offer 13-08-05 to the scales to finish narrowly ahead of Matt Woodfield.

Matt drew peg 4 and caught most of his fish shallow to caster on the pole for a final weigh of 12-02-11.

Fourth placed Dean Boswell weighed in 12-00-01 from peg 8 fishing caster to depth and top two plus two.
