Below are some of the most common questions we get asked regarding the fishery and our onsite accommodation. Please feel free to browse the below. If your question is not answered below then please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will be happy to help.

- 01Our opening hours vary depending on the time of year. During the summer we are open from 7:30am until 7pm. In the winter, we open at 8am and close at 4pm. Please be aware we are shut on Mondays regardless of the time of year.
- 02Day tickets are charged at £8 for all. We do not offer a concessional rate.
- 03Anglers must use fishery feed pellets. These are available on site priced at £3 for 2 pints. Please note, No trout pellets under any circumstances. We do not sell fishing tackle on site. However, there are three good tackle shops within a 20-30 minute drive of the venue: Bewdley Tackle, HT Angling in Kidderminster and Ludlow Tackle. Ask for more details.

- 05Groundbait allowed through open-ended / method feeders or pole pots. Groundbait is NOT to be introduced by hand Fishery feed pellets only. STRICTLY no trout / halibut pellets No meat (inc cat and / or dog meat) No bread or breadcrumb No floating baits or surface fishing No bloodworm or joker No trout pellets No boilies or pop-ups No macaroni cheese No hemp No nuts or particle baits No plastic / artifical baits, ie, plastic corn, rubber maggots, etc
- 06Meat is banned because of how long it takes to break down and the negative impact it has on water quality.
- 07No. As from June 2021, all floating baits have been banned due to concerns for fish welfare.
- 08Yes. Fishery landing nets are available to pleasure anglers for collection upon arrival. Anyone found using their own net will be asked to leave.
- 09No. Unhooking mats are not permitted at the fishery to help minimise the risk of disease being introduced.
- 10Bread and / or breadcrumb is banned due to its yeast content. Whereas yeast in its own right is not detrimental to fish or wildlife, it encourages and accelerates algae blooms, which can have catastrophic consequences on oxygen levels.
- 11If you intend on targeting the renowned specimen perch at Woodside, we allow most popular methods including drop shotting. However, we have a few simple rules regarding these more specialist methods: 1. No braid to be used, unless used in conjunction with a mono leader. 2. Single hook only. No trebles under any circumstances. Barbless hooks only. We do NOT allow live or dead baiting.
