Conditions for the latest Saturday contest on Island pool were far from ideal for the anglers from Halesowen Cricket Club. Temperatures the night before had plummeted to just 3°C above freezing. This, coupled with very bright and sunny conditions during the match made for difficult fishing with weights being affected.
Topping the field was Rob Adams. Offering maggot both short at 8m and down his edge late on, Rob managed to find the odd carp to offer 34-12-00 to the scales.
Finishing close behind in second place was Simon Davis. Again, fishing maggot down his inside accounted for most of his fish weighing in 31-00-00.
Paul Ash secured third place with 28-00-00.
