Saturday 18th October marked the second round of the Woodside winter league series, which was held on Woodside pool for the second consecutive round. Reason being, the fishery management were away on holiday so the match was left on Woodside pool to make running the event easier (pegging, etc) for those standing in to ensure the fixture went ahead as planned. Fifteen (15) anglers from The Black Boy fished their second of two fixtures here this year at Woodside. Anglers were pegged across both match lakes with overall standings being decided across the venue as a whole. Winner on the day was Craig Yeomans, who drew peg 13 on Woodside pool. Ten (10) anglers attended the first round of this year's winter league series. With numbers being a little down on last year (13 fished in 2024), anglers were pegged across one lake with round one taking place on Woodside pool. This year's campaign follows the same format as last year's with carp also being included in angler's weights and cumulative points deciding final placings.
