Winter League RD6, Woodside Pool
Saturday 13th December saw seven (7) anglers brave pretty grim conditions ahead of the final round of this year's Winter League series. Conditions leading up to the final round had been ideal with plenty of sunshine and a mild breeze giving off late September vibes, but that came to a very abrupt and unexpected end come Saturday morning with anglers being greeted with a pretty severe frost and thick fog. Winter League RD5, Woodside Pool
Saturday 29th November marked the penultimate round of this year's Winter League series. Saturday 15th November saw eight (8) anglers go head-to-head for this latest round of the 2025 Winter League series held on Woodside pool. That said, the carp still showed for a decent number of competing anglers, which resulted in a fairly decent round all things considered. A SECTION (pegs 21, 20, 18 & 16) Winner of

That said, the midway stage of the league fished fairer than in the previous two rounds producing more consistant weights across the board. The sudden drop in temperatures seemed to spread the fish around the lake more with no one angler running away with it as in the previou

Winter League RD2, Woodside Pool
Saturday 18th October marked the second round of the Woodside winter league series, which was held on Woodside pool for the second consecutive round. Reason being, the fishery management were away on holiday so the match was left on Woodside pool to make running the event easier (pegging, etc) for those standing in to ensure the fixture went ahead as planned. A SECTION (pegs 1, 21, 20, 18 & 16) As was the case in round one, section A proved the more difficult of the two. With
