Summer 2-day Festival, Woodside & Island Pools
Eleven (11) anglers fished the third annual summer festival here at Woodside. Numbers were capped for this year's event due to water levels being lower than normal on acccount of another really hot summer with some pegs simply not having enough water on them for fish to be safely kept in keepnets. Fourteen (14) anglers from TREC AC attended their latest fixture here at Woodside with anglers being pegged across both Woodside and Island pools. Conditions on the day were a bit of a mixed bag with thundery showers and a gentle breeze. Daytime temperatures reached a high of around 20°C. A smaller than normal turnout for Hollingsworth AC saw just eight (8) anglers line the banks of Woodside pool for their latest fixture. Conditions on the day were pleasant with sunny weather and light winds. Temperatures reached a high of approximately 23°C. Winner on the day was Ron Brookes, who drew peg 1. Dawley Angling Society, Island Pool
Ten (10) anglers from Dawley AS attended their first visit here with anglers pegged across Island pool. Conditions on the day saw another fine, sunny afternoon with light winds with temperatures reaching a high of approximately 23°C. Winner on the day was Jamie Noble, who drew peg 15 close to the point of the smaller of the two islands. Jamie started his match fishing paste over to the point to find a few carp patrolling the far side margin, but they quite quickly backed off.

Cottage Springs AC, Woodside Pool
Eleven (11) anglers from Cottage Springs attended this Saturday club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were mild and pleasant with sunny intervals and light, gentle winds from the north-northeast. Winner on the day was Dave Lewis, who drew peg 3. Fishing worm and dead maggot over groundbait down his edge, Dave was able to find a good stamp of fish to offer 78-08-00 to the scales to win by a narrow margin.
