The third annual Match Angler Of The Year Final took place on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th March with the 2025 qualification period producing a twenty-strong field for this year's final. To qualify for the final, anglers had to either (a) win two club matches, open matches or special events, or (b) weigh in over 100lbs over a maximum of two matches. Eleven (11) anglers attended this first open match of the new season held across both Woodside and Island pools. The vast majority of the field had qualified for the Match Angler Of The Year final, which was due to take place the following weekend, so it served as the perfect practice opportunity for those involved. Conditions for this third and latest round saw a significant improvement in the weather with temperatures making it into double-figures and a welcome warm breeze creating a decent ripple.
