A decent turnout saw eighteen (18) anglers from the Red Lion Piscatorial's attend this Sunday club match on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were ideal with plenty of cloud cover combined with a nice ripple. That said, a brief but angry thunderstorm on the Saturday meant a lot of cold water had entered the pool, which seemed to have an affect on the resident carp.
Taking honours on the day was Pam Mason, who drew peg 5 on the dam wall. Fishing pellet up in the water at 10m for the duration on the match, Pam found carp and F1's to weigh in 56-00-00.
Phil Mason finished in second place from peg 10 with 52-06-00 of mainly carp with odd F1's.
Adrian Smith secured third place with a level 49lbs from off peg 2.
Fourth place on the day was Pete Griffiths on peg 15 who offered 40-09-00 on to the scales.
