Twelve anglers from Rod & Gun AC attended this first match of 2018 held on the Island pool. Conditions were much milder than they had been in the week, but the water temperature was still very cold.
Winner on the day was Paul Biggs, who drew peg 1. Opting to fish 4mm expander pellet to depth over micro pellets at 13m., Paul found some decent fish to weigh in an excellent 71-12-00.
Taking second place was Neil Hicks from peg 27. Fishing bread punch to depth, Neil ended the day with 62-10-00.
Mark Perrins secured third place from peg 14. Offering maggot long on the pole at 14.5m, Mark put 53-04-00 on the scales to finish ahead of fourth placed Barry Coombes, who weighed in 46-12-00.
