Fourteen (14) anglers from Halfeway House AC turned out for this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were extremely hot and still, so it was expected to be a low weight affair, apart from the John Browning, who had other ideas!
John drew peg 8 close to the island and opted to fish a long pole over with maggot up in the water to find carp in numbers to weigh in 120-09-00 at the end of the five hours and confirm a comfortable win.
D. Thomas finished in second place from peg 12. Fishing corn and 4mm pellet down his inside he offered 50-04-00 to the scales.
Third placed Kevin Bates finished the day with 34-13-00 from peg 20 fishing 6mm expanders down his margin.
