A small turnout of just nine (9) anglers attended this Saturday club match for Winnalls AC.
Winner on the day, and running away with the match, was Steve Pearce from peg 9. Starting his match fishing pole and pellet before switching to feeder tactics later on, Steve ended the day with 56-08-00 of mainly carp.
Second place on the day was taken by Jake Sherwin, who drew unfancied peg 1. Opting to alternate between corn and maggot hookbaits on the feeder, Jake found 23-00-00 of carp to finish narrowly ahead of third placed Frank Williams.
Frank drew neighbouring peg 3 and, like Jake, offered maggot on the feeder to tempt 18-07-00 of carp onto the scales.
