Eight (8) anglers from Bell Otters AC attended the club's first match here at Woodside. Conditions on the day started off quite cool but brightened up in the afternoon with lots of cruising fish making for a competitive, but challenging day.
Winner on the day was Rich Burton from peg 21. Alternating between corn and maggot hookbaits over fishery micros down his edge, Rich found big fish in numbers to weigh in 60-09-00 of quality fish.
Finishing in second place was Dave Hunt, who drew neighbouring peg 22. Again, corn of fishery micro pellets accounted for most of Dave's fish, which included quality roach and skimmers as well as a handful of carp, which tipped the scales at 46-13-00.
Bill Mitchell secured third place from peg 12 with 36-12-00 of mostly carp. Bill caught on pellet fished down his edge to the next platform.
