Eleven (11) anglers from BJAC attended this latest club fixture on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were a bit of a mixed bag on account of the tail end of storm Lilian making its way through providing spells of heavy rain and strong winds.
Winner on the day was Neil McMillan, who drew peg 3. Alternating between his left and right edes, Neil was able to maintain a steady catch rate throughout the day fishing caster shallow to his left and soft pellet over fishery micros to his right. Neil managed a double-figure silvers net boasting quality roach as well as small carp in numbers to confirm 94-11-00.
Finishing not too far behind in second place was Richard Reid from peg 16. Fishing sweetcorn down his left hand edge underneath the tree, Richard found mostly carp to offer 86-05-00 to the scales.
Completing a competitive top three finish was Dave Roberts from peg 15. Dave struggled to find the fish for the most part of the match, but enjoyed a strong finish landing 76-02-00 of carp from down his edge on pellet fished up in the water.
