Brandhall Conservatives AC, Woodside Pool

Ten (10) anglers from Brandhall Conservatives attended this Sunday club match on the Woodside pool. Conditions, again, felt quite cool with a stiff breeze and the odd shower making things feel noticeably colder than in recent weeks.

Winner on the day was Karl Roper, who drew peg 8 close to the island. Starting his match on the feeder, Karl took a few early fish from the island before they grew wary. Later on in the match, Karl offered a banded 6mm down his edge to find small carp in numbers to end the match with a winning 49-03-00.

Finishing close behind in second place was James Taylor from peg 6. Like Karl, James managed to find a few fish out to the island, but the majority of his catch came from down his left hand edge to maggot and pellet. James offered 43-10-00 to the scales.

Paul Newey took third place on the day from peg 22. Alternating between various hook baits down his edge, including casters, worm and pellet, Paul found odd carp and a handful of roach and skimmers to weigh in 25-03-00.
