Brandhall Conservatives, Woodside Pool

A small turn out of just seven (7) anglers attended this first club match of the year on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were relatively pleasant with bright sunshine following a touch of ground frost first thing. The cold wind had also subsided.

Winner on the day was Giuseppe Acampora, who drew peg 16 on the dam wall. 'Zep' started his match fishing hard 6mm pellet long at 13m before switching to his edge late on offering maggot and corn to weigh in 40-10-00 of mainly carp.

Second place was taken by Trevor Newey from peg 21. Trevor caught most of his fish on caster and pellet down his edge to weigh in 31-09-00 at the end of the five hours.

Third place was Denis Green from peg 8 close to the island. Again, fishing down his edge accounted for most of his carp catch offering dead red maggot for a final 29-02-00.
