Bryan Burley AC, Woodside Pool

Twelve (12) anglers attended this latest annual meet for Bryan Burley and company with the first of two matches scheduled to take place on Woodside pool taking place on Friday 4th October.

Winner on the day was first time attendee, Brian Freeth. Brian drew fancied peg 21 and, upon arriving at his peg, was fortunate enough to have carp waiting for him down his edge. Fishing dead red maggot from the off, Brian was straight into fish and caught for the full five hours to weigh in 79-09-00.

Finishing close behind in second place was Chris Standing from peg 7. Starting his match fishing a small feeder tight to the island, Chris found odd carp but a move to his edge midway through the match with dead maggot paid dividends with some quality fish gracing the. Chris ended proceedings with 77-04-00 to narrowly miss out on the match win.

Finishing close behind Chris, and rounding off what was an incredibly close mainframe finish, was Leigh Harbutt from peg 5. Leigh caught well for most of the match fishing dead maggot down his edge to end the match with 74-00-00.
