CARRS AC, Island Pool

Nine (9) anglers from CARRS AC attended their second and final fixture at Woodside for the year, this time, on the Island pool. Conditions were a little bit of a mixed bag with Autumn definitely beginning to make its presence known.

Winner on the day was Mark Hone from peg 14. Fishing both pellet and maggot down his edges, Mark was able to find small carp in numbers to weigh in 69-02-00 to confirm a narrow victory over second placed Alec Southall.

Alec caught on both the feeder over to the island to begin with before switching to his edges later on with maggot from peg 16 to weigh in 65-00-00.

Completing a compeitive top three finish on the day was Ray Ravenhall from peg 2. Opting to fish a method feeder with dead red maggot on the hook, Ray enjoyed plenty of bites to weigh in a final 50-14-00 of mainly carp.
