CARRS AC, Woodside Pool

Updated: Aug 15, 2019

Eleven (11) anglers from CARRS attending this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day started off a little wet but, as the day progressed, things improved with short, frequent sunny spells making for a pleasant afternoon.

Winner on the day was Jeff Rush. Jeff drew peg 3 and started his match fishing a pellet feeder over to the island. However, after a fairly sluggish start, which only produced a handful of fish, Jeff decided a change of tactics was in order and concentrated on his right hand edge for the remainder of the match alternating between corn, paste and worm hookbaits. Jeff found quality fish in numbers - his best being around 12lbs - to weigh in 107-04-00.

Graham Nelson finished in second place from unfancied peg 1 at the foot of the path. Fishing banded 6mm hard pellet, Graham found some good-sized fish from down his edges, but unfortunately lost seven (7) lumps which saw him finish with a level 62-00-00.

Close behind Graham in third place was Gerry Rush. Gerry offered a variety of hookbaits down his edges for most of the match from peg 8 to find predominantly carp to offer 61-11-00 to the scales.
