Eight (8) anglers from CARRS AC attended their annual Allan Thomas & George Tummey Memorial match here at Woodside with anglers pegged on the Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were quite a bit warmer than forecast, but the standard of fishing on the day saw a slight improvement on recent weeks. That's not to say Woodside pool has been fishing badly, but its certainly been a little moody with the carp still seeming to favour the island. The same pegs that have been producing consistantly continue to produce and this latest contest was no exception.
Winner on the day, and picking up the Allan Thomas & George Tummey Memorial trophy was Ray Ravenhall. Ray drew peg 9 close to the island and fished pellet for the duration of the match, chopping and changing between a shallow line, short line and edge line, to find mostly carp for a final 79-06-00.
Finishing in second place was Terry Peckham, who drew corner peg 6. Opting to fish pellet down his edge on the short pole, Terry found mostly carp to weigh in 67-05-00.
Finishing close behind Terry on the day was Steve Nash from peg 1. Fishing pellet down his edge, Terry found 64-14-00 of carp.
