As we're sure most match anglers out there are aware, the Angling Trust have agreed with the Government to allow match fishing to continue with immediate effect.
Here at Woodside we have maintained throughout that we don't feel that we can realistically run matches in a safe enough manner to help minimise the spread of Coronavirus at this time. Our opinion on this remains unchanged. Our priority is to look after the welfare of people visiting the fishery and, under match fishing conditions, we feel there is STILL too great a risk to yours and our health.
We are continually reviewing the situation and will reconsider in due course. However, please be advised that we will not be letting matches go ahead here during the month of June. We appreciate this may divide opinion amongst our match anglers but in unprecedented times such as these we can only do what we feel is right
