Cottage Springs AC, Island Pool

Twelve (12) anglers attended this Saturday club match held on Island pool. Conditions on the day saw a mixture of sunny intervals and a moderate westerly breeze with an afternoon high of 24°C.

Winner on the day was Alan Cash, who drew peg 15 close to the point of the island. Alan found a few carp long over to the island, but had more luck down his edge fishing worm over dead red maggot to weigh in 77-09-00 of mostly small carp with a few roach, rudd and skimmer bream among them.

Finishing close behind in second place from peg 17 on the opposite point of the island was Dave Tromans. Dave opted to fish paste over fishery micro pellets to catch all carp to weigh in 74-15-00 to narrowly miss out on the win.

Third place was taken by Phil Phillips from peg 11. Fishing hard pellet over fishery 4mms down his edge, Phil offered 65-15-00 to the scales.
