Cottage Springs AC, Woodside Pool

Eleven (11) anglers from Cottage Springs attended this Saturday club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were mild and pleasant with sunny intervals and light, gentle winds from the north-northeast.

Winner on the day was Dave Lewis, who drew peg 3. Fishing worm and dead maggot over groundbait down his edge, Dave was able to find a good stamp of fish to offer 78-08-00 to the scales to win by a narrow margin.

Finishing close behind in second place from corner peg 6 was Chris Whitehouse. Chris managed to find some decent roach and rudd on sweetcorn before having a look down his edge with dead maggot to find carp for a final weight of 73-09-00.

Third on the day was Alan Cash, who drew peg 16 on the dam wall. Fishing a method feeder long over to the island, Alan was able to find carp patrolling the far side edge for a final weight of 50-05-00.
