A small turnout of just seven (7) anglers attended this club match for Cradley Sports & Social. Conditions on the day were overcast with a torrential downpours overnight lowering the water temperature considerably.
Winner on the day was Brett Billingham, who drew peg 7 close to the pads. Opting to fish down his left hand edge for most of the match, Brett found some quality carp on banded pellet to weigh in 68-04-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Jason Attwell from peg 9. Again, most of Jason's fish came from down his edge on pellet and corn giving him a final weight of 65-10-00.
Third place on the day was Kevin Billingham, who drew peg 13. Again, pellet down his edge did the damage, but like the rest of the field, he was well off the fish managing a modest 15-14-00. It seemed the fish had congregated around the island given the previous nights thunderstorm and were not for moving.
