Twenty one (21) anglers from Halesowen Cricket Club fished lined the banks of both Woodside and Island pools for this latest Sunday contest here at Woodside.
Taking overall honours on the day from Island pool was S. Wharton, who drew peg 8. Opting to fish pole and pellet both long on the pole and then, later, down his edge he found mainly carp of a decent average stamp to weigh in a match-winning 85-13-00.
Second best man on the day was L. Wharton from peg 3. Opting to fish a small method feeder over to the island with fishery micros and a 6mm banded hard pellet on the hook, he found carp in numbers, but of a smaller stamp, to offer 58-12-00 to the scales.
Finishing a little way off the top two, but making his way into the mainframe, was M. Collins from peg 5. Fishing maggot on the pole, he found roach, rudd, skimmer bream and carp to weigh in 38-06-00.
