Fifteen (15) anglers attended this Saturday club match from Halfway House on the Island pool. The weather remained hot and sticky with very little ripple and much of the resident carp population showing very little interest in anglers baits.
Mark Bates secured the match win from peg 16 fishing a maggot feeder just short of the island. Mark found small carp in numbers to weigh in a final 38-14-00.
Finishing close behind in second place from neighbouring peg 14 was Martin Steventon. Martin opted to fish maggot short to weigh in 31-04-00 of carp, roach and rudd.
Third place on the day went to Tony George with 19-10-00 of carp and silvers taken on maggot from peg 18.
