Hollingsworth AC, Woodside Pool

Twelve (12) anglers from new club Hollingsworth AC attended their first club match here at Woodside. Conditions on the day were generally mild, with partial cloud cover and occasional sunny intervals.

Topping the twelve-man field on the day was Ron Brookes, who drew peg 4. Fishing corn down his edge accounted for 51-04-00 of mainly carp, which gave him a convincing victory on the day.

Second place was awarded to John Steadman from neighbouring peg 3. Opting to fish pellet and maggot short to begin with, then down his edge later on, John offered a final 36-06-00 to the scales.

Finishing in third place on the day was Allan Swinnerton, who drew peg 9. Fishing corn and maggot down his edge, Allan recorded a weight of 24-09-00.
