We have now heard back from all qualifying anglers except for eight (8) regarding this year's event. At the time of this post being published, we have twenty four (24) anglers fishing with a handful of anglers unable to confirm for definite their plans next March.
With twenty four (24) anglers fishing, the overall prize pot (excluding daily prizes), is now up to £1,440. As such, we're hoping to pay at least the top six (6) anglers overall (subject to change).

If those that are still undecided opt to fish and the eight (8) anglers we're still yet to hear from also decide to fish, we could be up to as many as thirty seven (37) anglers out of the forty four (44) that have qualified taking part. In this situation, we would need to run two (2) semi-final events to reduce the numbers to a manageable amount.
These semi-finals would provisionally take place on Saturday 8th March & Saturday 22nd March with nineteen (19) anglers fishing one and eighteen (18) anglers fishing the other. We would then take nine (9) anglers through from each semi-final to conclude the event with an eighteen (18) peg Grand Final on 29th & 30th March.
However, this is all unconfirmed at this moment in time due to not knowing final numbers.
The deadline for the thirteen (13) anglers to confirm their attendance one way or the other is 31st January 2025. If we have not heard from you by such time, you won't be fishing as we will need to crack on with arrangements by then.
It's shaping up to be a great event!
