Fifteen (15) anglers attended this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were overcast but still felt warm with very little breeze. Fish could be seen in numbers cruising in the upper layers and pairing up - maybe preparing to spawn again? With conditions on the day and the resident carp showing little interest, it was a hard day at the office for most.
Winner on the day was Gareth Parker from peg 13. Opting to mug cruising fish with 6mm pellet, Gareth managed 32-04-00 of carp to confirm the win on a difficult day.
Matt Farmer finished in second place from peg 3. After a quick couple of fish on the method feeder over to the island, Matt switched to mugging tactics for the remainder of the match to find a few more carp to offer 20-13-00 to the scales.
Third place was taken by Mark Berry from neighbouring peg 5. Fishing maggot shallow, Mark found small carp and a handful of silvers to weigh in 11-06-00.
