Ten (10) anglers from Metal Closures attended their first of three matches with us this year. Most anglers got off to a great start but as temperatures increased by mid-afternoon sport slowed down a little with the final couple of hours proving difficult for most. That said, weights were still consistent with recent results.
Taking honours on the day was Carl Hunter, who drew corner peg 6 close to the island. Fishing 6mm hard pellet short and down his edge Carl found carp to 11lb to weigh in a match-winning 142-04-00.
Fred Westwood finished in second place from peg 9. Fishing 6mm pellet down his edge and short Fred found carp to 10lb to offer a final 79-05-00 to the scales.
Rounding off the mainframe finish on the day was Geoff Walton from corner peg 7. Opting to fish corn down his right hand edge, Geoff found carp and around 10lb of silvers to weigh in 69-04-00.
Graham Poulton finished in fourth place from peg 11 with 62-15-00. Graham caught mostly carp on paste.
