Metal Closures AC, Woodside Pool

Nine (9) anglers from Metal Closures attended their penultimate 2023 match fixture here at Woodside on the Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were forecast to be wet, but the rain managed to hold off and the pool's recent sub-par form made way for some good weights.

Winner on the day, and making it three wins out of three this year, was Adam Lees. Adam drew peg 9 and caught some quality fish on pellet fished down his edge to offer 106-03-00 to the scales.

Second place was taken by Kim Hunter from neighbouring peg 10. Most of Kim's fish were taken on corn fished down his edge to give him 84-03-00 of big carp.

Rounding off a competitive top three on the day was Bob Bennett, who drew corner peg 6 by the pads. Bob started his match offering paste and banded pellet to the pads to enjoy a good run of smaller fish before switching to his right hand edge late on, again with paste and pellet, to find some bigger fish to weigh in 81-03-00.
