Twelve (12) anglers from Model AC attended this latest Sunday club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of the hot and humid weather, with things feeling very sticky indeed. The resident carp stocks looked like they were preparing to spawn with big fish in numbers seen cruising around in small pockets and showing little interest in anglers baits.
Winner on the day was Rob Sandall from peg 3. Rob, who is rapidly becoming a very difficult man to beat at Woodside, caught the majority of his fish on maggot and casters fed down his left hand edge to weigh in 75-00-00, despite a slight knock-back on one of his nets.
Finishing in second place was Chris Heritage from peg 11, just off the point of the island. Opting to fish pellet over to the far edge, Chris managed mostly carp as well as some decent skimmer bream to offer 52-10-00 to the scales.
Third place on the day was awarded to David Dearn from peg 5 in the channel close to the island. Again, most of Dave's fish came from down his edge on dead maggot and pellet giving him a final 35-03-00.
