A low turnout for Model AC saw just eight (8) anglers in attendance on this latest club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were a big improvement on the day before with periods of bright sunshine for most of the day. That said, despite the improvement in the weather, the fishing continued to prove tricky.
Winner on the day was Rob Sandall, who drew 8. Fishing caster and hard pellet shallow for the first half of the match, Rob was able to mug some decent fish before going down his edge later on, again with caster and pellet, to end the day with 61-06-00.
Finishing in second place, but still a good way behind Rob's winning effort, was Mick Carlow. Mick drew peg 12 and caught most of his fish on expanders fished over the top of fishery micro pellets down his edge to weigh in 25-08-00.
Third place on the day was Lee Caffrey from peg 3 on the point of the island. Lee started his match fishing the feeder over to the island before switching to his edge late on offering dead maggot over groundbait to end proceedings with 21-04-00.
