Nine (9) anglers from Moor Lane lined the banks of Island pool for the club's latest match fixture here. Anglers experienced a warm, dry, and predominantly sunny day. Temperatures peaked at approximately 27°C in the afternoon with clear skies and light winds.
Winner on the day was Pete Adkins, who drew peg 15 on the point of the island. Offering banded pellet at 13m, Pete found small carp in numbers to offer a match-winning 81-09-00 to the scales.
Runner-up position was taken by Rod Sowney, who drew peg 14. Opting to fish a small method feeder down his edge for the majority of the match, Rod was able to put a decent run of fish together to weigh in 67-15-00..
Third place was taken by Mark Newman from peg 6 on the dam wall. Again, feeder down the edge did the damage for Mark with 58-09-00 of carp falling to 8mm pellet.
