Oak Tree AC, Island Pool

Seven (7) anglers from Oak Tree AC attended this extremely wet Sunday club match on the Island pool. Weights were a little down on recent weeks, but that said, it was still a closely contested match with little separating the top three on the day.

Finishing top of the field was John Cox, who drew peg 12 on the far bank beneath the oak trees. Opting to fish pellet and paste down his edge, John managed to find some real good quality fish to weigh in a match-winning 53-04-00.

Second place was Jay Wood from peg 17 close to the smaller of the two islands. Again, pellet and paste did the business for Jay with him offering a reasonable 46-02-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.

Concluding a close top three finish was Dave Shiner from peg 3. Alternating between maggot and pellet hookbaits down his edge, Dave confirmed a final 40-04-00.
