Twelve (12) anglers from Old Hill Legion attended this Sunday club match on Woodside. Conditions were a lot cooler than the previous day coupled with a moderate breeze and plenty of cloud cover. As a result, weights showed a slight improvement.
Winner on the day was Paul Smith, who drew peg 3. Starting his match over to the island with corn, Paul was able to find small carp in numbers along with a handful of silvers before switching to his margins late on with corn and pellet to find some better stamp fish to around 8lbs. Paul ended the match with around 67lbs of carp plus roach, rudd and skimmer bream to weigh in 74-13-00 and win the match by some way.
Second place was taken by Karl Steadman from peg 6. Karl caught most of his 34-03-00 down his edge late on to corn fished over fishery feed pellet taking carp to 9lbs.
Roger Boswell finished in third place from peg 12. Opting to fish a feeder over to the island with pinkie on the hook, Roger found quality roach, rudd, perch as well as carp to weigh in 32-08-00.
