Oldbury Royal British Legion, Island Pool

Another small turn out for Sunday's match on the Island pool saw seven (7) anglers from Oldbury RBL line the banks on another quite cool mid June day.

Taking honours on the day was Rob Fox from in-form peg 27. Rob opted to fish the majority of the match down his left hand edge with pellet on the pole to find mainly carp with a few roach and skimmers to weigh in 69-04-00.

Finishing not too far behind was Tim Bills from peg 19. Offering pellet and dead red maggots short for the first half of the match before working with the same combination down his edge later on, Tim weighed in 55-08-00 of small carp.

Third place on the day was taken by Pete Bowen from peg 1. Pete started his match on the pellet waggler to take odd cruising fish but his edges failed to produce as expected. Nonetheless, Pete had done enough early doors to sneak into the main frame with 34-00-00.
