Open Match, Island Pool

Six (6) anglers attended this latest Friday afternoon open held on Island pool.

Winner on the day was Dave Bowyer, who drew peg 14 - the very same peg he found himself on the week before during a club match with Wordsley Lions, which saw him break the previous match weight record! With that in mind, Dave knew exactly how to set out his stall, and opted to fish pellet shallow down his edge for the duration of the match to end the evening with 106-05-00.

Finishing in second place was the former match weight record holder, Ken Hayes. Ken draw peg 3 at the opposite end of the lake and fished pellet down his edge to weigh in 62-05-00.

Concluding the top three finish on the day was Craig Lea-Hair from neighbouring peg 2. Craig chose to fish paste down his edge to end the match with 61-08-00.
