Open Match, Woodside Pool

Nine (9) anglers attended this Sunday club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were very similar to the day before with milder than normal temperatures for the time of year and plenty of cloud cover. The carp have definitely now moved into the deeper water with all three of today's framing weights coming from the dam wall.

Winner on the day was Ken Hayes, who drew peg 13. Opting to fish corn down his edge, Ken found some proper lumps to weigh in 56-02-00 of carp to take his first win here at Woodside.

Second place was taken by Dave Bowyer on peg 16. Dave started his match fishing maggot and pellet long at 10m before switching to his edge late on and an all out pellet attack to finish with 49-00-00.

Third place went to Dave Martin, who drew peg 14. Fishing soft hooker pellet long at 11m over fishery micro, Dave found mainly small-ish carp to offer 39-05-00 to the scales.
