Ten (10) anglers attended this cold, wet and windy Sunday open match held on Woodside pool.
Winner on a tough day was Vinny Varden (Black Country AC) from peg 27. Opting to fish dead maggot down his edge, Vinny weighed in 28-00-00 of mainly carp to confirm a narrow win.
Finishing in second place was fellow Black Country AC rod, Andy Mountain. Fishing pellet short at 4m on favoured peg 19, Andy struggled to find the fish offering 23-09-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.
Third on the day was Gareth Felton from peg 14. Gareth spent most of his match chasing fish around his peg with maggot fishing multiple lines to weigh in a hard earned 22-07-00.
