Eleven (11) anglers attended this first match of 2022 here at Woodside Fishery held on the Woodside Pool.
Winner on the day was Bryan Burley, who drew peg 10 on the point of the island opposite the willow. Fishing pole and pellet long at 16m, Bryan found carp from the off and continued to catch steadily for the most part of the match before having a look down his edge late on. Bryan caught later on maggot over groundbait down his margin to end the day with 74-10-00 and confirm a comfortable victory.
Second place was secured by Chris Hall on peg 14 on the dam wall. Opting to fish paste short, Chris didn't have many fish, but the fish he did manage were of a good stamp giving him 42-03-00.
Third place on the day was awarded to Terry Finn on peg 19. Fishing maggot short for most of the match, Terry caught mainly small carp with a handful of silvers to weigh in 33-01-00.
