Rhea Hall AC, Woodside Pool

A decent turnout for Rhea Hall saw fourteen (14) anglers line the banks of Woodside pool for their second and final fixture of the year here. Conditions on the day were fairly settled for the most part with the exception of some heavy downpours during the later part of the day. Fishing on the day proved tough with low weights recorded. That said, it was still a close match.

Winner on the day was Derek James from peg 16 on the dam wall. Starting his match on the feeder with pellet, Derek was able to find odd carp before switching to his edge late on offering pellet and maggot to find some better stamp fish. Derek ended the match with 27-10-00 to confirm his second win of the season and a place in the Woodside Match Angler Of The Year final next year.

Finishing close behind in second place was Wayne Chattin from peg 15. Wayne started his match on the method feeder but struggled to find the fish before looking down his margin late on with paste to enjoy a late flurry. Wayne confirmed a weight of 26-08-00.

Rounding off a close top three on the day was Jason Hawkins from peg 9. Opting to fish pellet, maggot and caster up in the water, Jason was able to find some quality silverfish and a handful of carp to weigh in 21-04-00.
