Salt Marsh AC, Island Pool

Six (6) anglers attended this Saturday club match on Island pool for Salt Marsh AC. Conditions on the day were typical for the time of year with a cold start to the day followed by a fairly cool but bright afternoon.

Finishing top of the six-man field was Terry Box, who drew peg 11 over on the far bank. Concentrating mainly on his edges, Terry caught carp in numbers on both 6mm hard pellet and dead red maggot to offer 84-14-00 to the scales.

Second place went to Darren Harris on peg 15 in-between the two islands. Again, pellet and dead red maggot down his edge accounted for most of his 70-09-00.

Finally, in third place, was Bill Marvin, who drew peg 3. Fishing maggot down his edge for most of the match gave Bill 54-07-00 of small carp.
