Ten (10) anglers fished this latest club match held on the Woodside pool. Conditions were noticeably cooler and cloudier following a record-breaking heatwave. The day featured a mix of cloud cover, sunny spells, and periodic light rain showers, with temperatures ranging from a chilly overnight low of around 8° C to a daytime high near 15° C.
Winner on the day was Chad Brittle, who drew peg 10 on the point of the island. Chad opted to fish short for most of the match with maggot to find some good-sized fish to win the match by a comfortable margin. Chad found most of his fish during the final hour of the match between his keepnets to weigh in 62-04-00.
Finishing a ways behind in second place was Rory Copeland, who drew peg 3. Rory also opted to fish maggot short but couldn't get the resident carp to settle and had to make do with a modest 26-09-00.
Third place on the day was taken by Jamie Langford from peg 9. Jamie started his match fishing the long pole to the island at 14.5m offering both hard pellet and corn, but couldn't get into his rhythm. He later came short, again offering hard pellet and corn, to find a few fish to weigh in a final 23-11-00.
