Shropshire Anglers, Woodside Pool

Eight (8) anglers attended this latest Saturday club fixture held on the Woodside pool. Conditions on the day saw generally cloudy skies with temperatures peaking at roughly 15°C and dropping to an overnight low of 10°C. The day was breezy with wind speeds around 9 m/s with only trace amounts of rain throughout the day.

Winner on the day, and making it two out of two at Woodside, was Dave Miles. Dave drew peg 12 and started his match fishing a method feeder over to the island before coming down his edge late on with pellet and corn to weigh in 45-00-00.

Finishing close behind in second place was Phil Archer from neighbouring peg 10. Like Dave, Phil started his match fishing over to the island, but Phil opted for a straight bomb approach offering pellet on the hook before switching to his edge line late on with corn to weigh in 43-11-00.

Third place on the day was taken by Josh Cater, who drew peg 5 in the channel. Josh opted to fish pellet up in the water tight to the island to end the day with 40-07-00.
