A small turnout saw just five (5) anglers from Saltmarsh AC attend their first ever club match at Woodside held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were pretty miserable with plenty of cloud cover resulting in low light and cold temperatures. Later on in the day the heavens opened but, fortunately by then, the match and weigh in had concluded!
Winner on the day was Terry Box, who drew peg 9 close to the point of the island. Opting to fish soft pellet short and down his edge, Terry found mainly carp to weigh in 89-12-00 to confirm a comfortable victory.
Finishing in second place was Bill Marvin, who drew peg 11. Bill caught all of his fish down his edges to dead maggot to offer 59-07-00 to the scales.
Third place went to Darren Harris from peg 13. Again, dead maggot did most of the damage for Darren, who confirmed a final weight of 42-05-00.
