The Black Boy AC, Woodside Pool

Twelve (12) anglers from The Black Boy (Bewdley) attended this latest club fixture held on Woodside pool. Weights were a little lower than in recent weeks, but it was still a closely contested match with a little over 2lbs separating the top three.

Winner on the day was John Portman, who drew in form peg 19. Concentrating on his short line for most of the match with sweetcorn, John found some good quality fish up to approx. 6lbs to weigh in a match-winning 45-08-00.

Second place was taken by Chris Royce from peg 14 on the dam wall. Opting to fish a small feeder down his edge, Chris found mainly carp with a handful of roach and skimmer bream to offer 44-12-00 to the scales.

Completing a tight top three on the day was Mick Hawks from peg 9. Again, Mick caught most of his fish short, but opted for maggot to stay busy and weigh in a final 43-03-00.
