Fourteen (14) anglers lined the banks of Woodside pool for their latest fixture here. Conditions on the day were far from ideal with a significant drop in temperature when compared to recent days and high air pressure. Weights reflected the decline in the weather with a little over 20lbs securing honours on the day.
Topping a reserved yet close top three finish was John Andrews from peg 11. John caught most of his fish down his edge on dead maggot to weigh in 21-12-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Steve Millward from peg 8. Again, sticking with the humble maggot, Steve found carp and silvers on the short and long pole and then, later, down his edge to end the match with a hard earned 19-15-00.
Third place was picked up by Zlatko Donders from peg 17 on the dam wall. Opting to fish a feeder down his edge with sweetcorn, Zlatko managed to find a few quality fish to offer 17-11-00 to the scales.
