Twelve (12) anglers from The Bridge AC attended this final club match of the year here at Woodside. Conditions on the day were absolutely awful with heavy rain lasting all day resulting in localised flooding. With the snow and ice earlier in the week, the water had lost a lot of its colour with the margins being almost gin clear. Most anglers caught at distance on the long pole with very few, if any fish, coming from the edges.
Topping a difficult day was Adam Cooper from permanent peg 15 on the point of the island. Fishing a long pole over to the point with maggot on the hook, Adam was able to find a smattering of skimmers and perch as well as a good number of stockies to weigh in 40-06-00.
Taking second place was Pete Francis from peg 12 on the point of the second island. Opting to fish pellet and maggot at approximately 8m, Pete found mainly carp to offer 32-01-00 to the scales to finish narrowly ahead of third placed Steve Munn on neighbouring peg 11.
Steve opted to fish maggot on a long pole at approximately 10m to find a handful of better stamp fish amongst roach and skimmers to end the match with 30-05-00.
