A small turnout saw just seven (7) anglers from Diggers AC attend this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. Unfortunately, it was another low weight affair with carp showing very little interest in anglers baits. Conditions on the day started off wet but, by the afternoon, the sun made a brief appearance making things feel very clammy indeed, bringing the fish up in the water.
Winner on the day was Dave Biggs from peg 17. Fishing corn down his inside and maggot short, Dave found small carp and a handful of roach and skimmers to weigh in 30-04-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Steve Fryer from peg 19. Steve, like most, struggled for most of the match but managed to find the fish very late on offering maggot short to weigh in 26-07-00 of carp and silverfish.
Third place was taken by Phill Pearsall from inform peg 1. Fishing pellet down his edge, Phill managed to find only a handful of carp to weigh in 21-12-00.
