Eight (8) anglers from Tight Lines AC attended this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were forecast to be wet and windy but, fortunately, the bad weather held off until the end of the day.
Winner on the day from peg 7 was Steve Horrigan with 93-11-00. Steve caught odd fish on corn, then pellet as well as paste before really getting into his stride on maggot up in the water to take silvers and quality carp up to around 8lbs for a match win.
Second placed Chris Ralphs offered 73-08-00 to the scales from peg 1. Again, finding fish shallow in numbers to pole and pellet, Chris found carp to 8lb to go into the final ninety minutes of the match with a decent weight. Fishing maggot down his edge, he was able to find some late bonus fish to end the day strong.
Third place on the day was taken by Kevin Davis. Fishing from peg 8, Kevin caught the majority of his fish from down the edge on 6mm pellet fished to depth for an all carp catch to weigh in 59-05-00 with fish up to 9lbs.
