A good attendance for Tight Lines saw ten (10) anglers line the banks of Woodside pool for their latest contest. Conditions were a bit cooler with a mid afternoon high of approximately 20°C.
Winner on the day was the ever-consistent Darren Davis, who drew peg 8 close to the island. Fishing sweetcorn down his edge for most of the match, Darren was able to find some good stamp fish in mere inches of water to offer 71-02-00 to the scales.
Finishing in runner up place was Middy's Chris Hill. Chris drew peg 10 on the point of the island and started his match fishing hard pellet short. However, the carp played hard to get and never really settled so a change of tactics was called for. A look down his inside with corn produced a late run of fish, but it was too little too late with Chris managing a final weight of 47-10-00.
Finishing in third place on the day was Lee Rhoden. Lee drew peg 3 on the opposite point of the island and opted to fish pellet down his edge to take a modest 23-09-00 of carp.
