A small turnout for the latest Sunday club contest saw six (6) anglers from Tight Lines on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were unchanged from the previous day with high humidity and air pressure setting up what was expected to be a difficult day again. That said, weights were a little better with the top two anglers on the day managing to find feeding fish.
Winner on the day was Dave Greybanks, who drew peg 20. With this area h aving won the match the previous day, Dave was understandably optimistic upon making his draw. Fishing paste and expanders down his edge for most of the match, Dave found mostly carp to weigh in 94-03-00.
Second place was taken by Kevin Davis from peg 10 on the point of the island. Again, paste and pellet accounted for most of Kevin's catch, which saw him offer 78-07-00 to the scales.
Taking the final payout position was Darren Davis from peg 17. Fishing paste and expanders down his edge, Darren found some decent skimmers that were willing to feed among the carp for a final weight of 45-06-00.
